Dr. Ross McKenzie has practiced optometry in Kingsway Mall since 2003 after graduating from Pacific University College of Optometry and completing his optometry internship programs.  

A product of Saskatchewan, Dr. Ross McKenzie grew up in both a rural and urban setting. His primary home was Saskatoon, where he went to school, but his family also maintained a farm just north of Moose Jaw where he spent most of his summers.

The decision to pursue a career in eye care came about after a conversation with one of his neighbours, who conveyed the dynamics of this evolving profession. As a result, Ross pursued an education towards becoming an optometrist.  

Dr. Ross McKenzie received his undergraduate degree with distinction from the University of Saskatchewan in 1999 before being accepted to Pacific University. Upon completion of his education, Dr. Ross McKenzie received recognition from the Beta Sigma Kappa honor society for academic excellence and obtained licensing in both the United States and Canada.  

Dr. Ross McKenzie is certified by the Alberta College of Optometrists and a member of the Alberta Association of Optometrists and the Canadian Association of Optometrists.

As an Alberta optometrist, Dr. Ross McKenzie is trained in the area of ocular disease and ocular disease treatments. His training has qualified him to prescribe both topical and oral prescription medications to treat these conditions. If you should have any eye health concerns, please contact our clinic. What is an Optometrist?
