What Does AISH & AAHB Cover For Eye Care?

If you’re covered under Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH) or Alberta Adult Health Benefit (AAHB) provincial health care insurance programs you are eligible for the following benefits every 2 years: 

  • A comprehensive eye health exam (learn more about our Adult Eye Exams).

  • A complete pair of eyeglasses

Processing your eye exam and eyewear claim through Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped or Alberta Adult Health Benefit is fast and easy. Our staff will assist you in getting authorization for your eye exam at the time of booking to ensure that you do not incur any unforeseen expenses.

Required: Recipients under these programs must present a valid AISH or AAHB benefit card along with valid government-issued photo identification at the time of the eye exam in order to access their benefits.
